SCV stack
7, 8 and 9 Series tractors offer a SCV stack aimed at improving performance and aftermarket serviceability. These valves further enable customers to fine-tune hydraulic flow rates and make it easier and more affordable to customize an SCV stack. Now you can switch coupler sizes without having to change an entire SCV slice.
EVT transmission
Stepless transmissions are ideal for overall drivability and those wishing to complete work at precise speeds. Current stepless transmissions are better than ever, but current designs limit true potential. Replacing hydrostatic power with electric power unlocks the ability to monitor the exact load through each major drivetrain component, improves diagnostics, and increases reliability. The EVT transmission delivers efficient power to the ground that John Deere is known for, all with the familiar controls and drive strategy of the IVT. Available as optional equipment on 8R/RT/RX 370 and 8R/8RT/8RX 410 models.
- Improved acceleration between desired ground speeds compared to gearshift transmissions
- Precise infinite speed control from 0.05 to 50 km/h (0.03 to 31 mph)
- Efficient power transfer from the engine to the drawbar results in low fluid consumption while maintaining excellent pulling performance
- Use of electric drive components results in a noticeable reduction in drivetrain noise experienced by the operator compared to the traditional hydraulic motors
- Enhanced reliability with the utilization of proven electric components
- 55 percent reduction in diagnostics requiring tools or a technician for simple in-field troubleshooting
- Compatible with electrical power generation (see Electric Power Generation story under the Transmission tile)

8RT Tractor with cab suspension and air seat
8RT Tractors naturally offer excellent in-field ride due to the large footprint and an AirCushion™ suspension system. A great ride is also enabled by the lack of power hop due to the track system. 8RT Tractors are equipped with a four-post cab suspension and air seat that is specifically designed for and only found on these models. This system reduces high-frequency vibrations typically associated with road transport and allows 8RT Tractors to strike an unmatched balance in ride quality in the field or on the road. Both the cab suspension and AirCushion suspension are in base equipment on all 8RT Tractors.
- Four-post cab suspension with an air seat offers an exceptional ride for operators while on the road.
- The cab suspension system specifically designed for 8RT Tractors is offered in base equipment.
- 8RT Tractors naturally ride well in the field due to the independent track systems and a large footprint.
- The AirCushion suspension system not only improves ride quality in the field but also allows the track systems to move freely and independently of the other, maximizing track-to-soil contact and improving overall traction.
