Preliminary Nebraska
OECD Tractor test results are in for the John Deere 7215R with the
CommandQuad™ transmission. The 7215R provided power and efficiency results
to reinforce that John Deere’s single fluid solution strategy to meet IT4
emissions regulations is a non-event for customers.
The 7215R is the first 7R Series Tractor to be tested at Nebraska. This was
also the first test of the new CommandQuad™ transmission. The 7215R
outperformed its predecessor the 7930 with AutoQuad PLUS™ transmission in
both power and fuel efficiency.
The 7215R delivered more horsepower on every test than the 7930. The 75
percent of pull at maximum power drawbar test is often considered the test
that most closely replicates typical tractor field work, a comparison of
this test is shown below. These results drive home the message that
emissions compliance does not equate to less power.
The 7215R also outperformed the 7930 in all of the fuel efficiency tests,
some of which are shown below. These results bust the rumour that John
Deere’s single fluid IT4 solution cannot provide fuel efficiency
improvements.

In addition to
great power and fuel efficiency, the John Deere 7215R also delivers
with integrated technology. JDLink™ provides customers the
opportunity to further optimize their operations and fuel consumption
by having access to key machine information anytime, anywhere via the
JDLink™ website. This allows them to optimize peak performance and
increase profitability.
The results of the 7215R Nebraska OECD test further validates John
Deere’s claim that its single fluid approach to IT4 emissions regulations
is seamless for customers. John Deere continues to provide customers a
total package solution to increase productivity and improve fuel
efficiency with the R Series Row-Crop Tractors.
Official
Nebraska OECD results will be posted spring 2012 and can be found on
the Nebraska Tractor test lab website: http://tractortestlab.unl.edu/.
