  Outstanding performance

The enhanced features on the 6M Tractors increase functionality and versatility and paired with a comfortable operator environment make getting the job done that much easier.
  • Increased horsepower
The model year 2015 6M Tractors gain an additional 5 hp over previous models with an additional larger model (6195M) added to the lineup. The new 6M Tractors draw power from a 4.5L or 6.8L John Deere PowerTech™ engine and range from 110 through 195 hp. The additional horsepower enhances overall productivity by helping maintain power through varying conditions in haying and livestock applications. The 6M, with the 6195M model, can now handle higher horsepower power take-off (PTO) applications like feed wagons.

*Rated engine horsepower (ISO), 97/68/EC, at 2100 engine rpm.

  • Improved ride quality with optional mechanical cab suspension
For operators wanting superior comfort and smoother driving, mechanical cab suspension is now available for the 6M Series Tractors. The mechanical cab suspension reduces operator fatigue and discomfort, especially for applications like rough hay fields while the cab rests on two fully integrated shock absorbers which dampens the vibrations coming through the frame.

  • AutoTrac™ assisted steering system integrated factory installed (6145M, 6155M, 6175M, and 6195M)
The integrated AutoTrac kit is tied directly into the steering system and is now a factory-installed option on select 6M models. It provides optimal guidance accuracy to help reduce input costs. Integrated AutoTrac will give the 6M a clean look inside the machine and the tractor is ready to go to the field to deliver repeatable accuracy.

  • Auto mechanical front-wheel drive (MFWD) and differential lock based on steering angle option
Operators experiencing varying ground conditions in the field or in the feedlot will have increased traction performance with the new 6M Tractors. On-the-go engagement of the MFWD and differential lock is accomplished with a console-mounted switch that enables the operator to engage or disengage MFWD without clutching. The operator can switch between two-wheel drive (2WD), full-time MFWD, or automatic MFWD. Auto MFWD and differential lock allows the operator to maximize traction in every application without having to switch between engaged or disengaged. MFWD and differential lock are independently controlled through a wheel angle sensor with programmable angles of 9, 12, and 15 and 52* degrees (only MFWD).

  • Front hitch and front PTO
Whether blowing snow or cutting hay, customers wanting to get more versatility from a tractor have to look no further than the optional factory-installed front mounted John Deere Category 3N hitch and PTO (1000 rpm PTO). The optional front-mounted hitch and front PTO are now offered on 6M Series Tractors which will increase a customer’s productivity and are available to all 6M cab models.

  • Green-on-green solutions
John Deere designed and built loaders are made specifically for optimal performance when paired with John Deere Tractors. With features such as mechanical self-leveling and third-function hydraulic capable, the R-Series is the ultimate hired hand when paired with a 6M.   Enhanced uptime

Keeping the tractor running in the field or on the feedlot is critical. Updates have been made to improve uptime, making the 6M even more reliable.
  • Serviceability
The engine oil change interval has been increased on the 6155M, 6175M, and 6195M models from 500 hours up to 750 hours. That equates to less time and money spent changing oil.

  Reduced cost of operation

By improving the overall efficiency of the 6Ms and increasing uptime, the customer’s productivity increases.
  • Lower input costs
By incorporating diesel particulate filter (DPF) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology, a low amount of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) is needed as the DEF usage is only 3 percent. Furthermore, with the extension of the engine oil interval from 500 hours up to 750 hours (6155M, 6175M, and 6195M) fewer oil changes are required through the life of the tractor and lower maintenance costs.
