Some customers using Individual Row Hydraulic Downforce (IRHD) have experienced excessive wear on the lower parallel arms and bushings, causing seed placement issues and unplanned downtime. The heavy-duty lower parallel arm and split-ring bushing from John Deere helps to address this issue.
 

• One piece design for added durability and strength
• New, stronger material used in the cross member for added strength
• New split-ring bushing on the two front holes ensures that the wear occurs on the bushing and not the arm. Current parallel arm bushings fit inside the split-ring bushing to form a dual-stage bushing

Extensive internal lab and field testing of this solution has resulted in significantly longer life of the lower parallel arm on IRHD row units. These more durable components provide the opportunity for IRHD to consistently deliver on seed depth across the lifecycle of the planter.
 
These are available as factory install on new planters ordered with IRHD, included with Precision Upgrades orders containing IRHD (with or without row-units), or orderable through aftermarket parts.
