The John Deere PowerGard™ Sprayer Inspection Process that Identifies Key Service Points with Established Specifications that Allow Us the Framework to  Reduce Downtime.

Feeder House Area:
-Check safety shields
-Check feeder house drive chain, sprockets, idlers, and guides
-Check back shaft speed sensor and wiring harness
-Check slip clutch
-Check reverser/header drive spline shaft, hoses, couplers, and wiring
-Check drum - wear ring, bearings, supports, stops, and pins
-Check floor sheet and seal
-Check feed plate
-Check stone trap
-Check feeder house reverser cooler
-Check hydro motor - housing and fittings
-Check shoe auger - front bearings and bevel gears
-Check shoe auger - drive shaft and bearings
-Check reverse control linkage and cable
-Check lift cylinders, hoses, pins, and safety stop
-Check lift cylinder support and pivots
-Check transmission - drive shaft, hose, and couplers
-Check oil level and condition
-Check final drives, front wheel(s), and tire(s)
-Check top door seal
-Check conveyor chain, plastic chain guides, and eyebolts
-Check feeder house pivots
-Check top shaft, bearings, sprockets, and stripper plates
-Check reverser gear case - Operation, oil level/change
-Check reverser belt, lower variable sheaves, idler, and bearings
-Check contour master cylinder and hoses
-Check slides
-Check top variable drive, sheaves, and bearings
-Check hoses, couplers, and wiring
-Check frame for cracks and holes
-Check feeder house position sensor and wiring
-Check shoe auger, speed sensor, and wiring harness
-Check multi-point harness and hoses
-Check singe-point connection, cartridges, and pins
Feed Accelerator (FAST):
-Check feed accelerator drive belt
-Check feed accelerator tension arm, spring, and idler
-Check feed accelerator - wings and bearings
-Check serrated wear strips
-Check smooth wear strips
-Check back swept wear strips
-Check plastic dust shroud
-Check rotor bearing, speed sensor, and wiring
-Check tri-flow feed ramp
-Check feed floor - spike tooth (rice)
-Check front feed lights
-Check rear feed flights

Left-Hand Side:
-Check safety shields
-Check batteries - cables, connections, and fluid level (S660, S670, S680, and S690)
-Check electric clutch and brush module
-Check primary countershaft 90 degree gear case
-Check drive shaft - engine to 90 degree gear case u-joints
-Check front end drive belt
-Check reel pump and bearings
-Check reel speed valve and actuator
-Check cleaning fan, housing, fins, bearings, speed sensor, and wiring
-Check cleaning shoe pitman arms, hangers, bolts, bearings, and bushings
-Check clean grain auger speed sensor and wiring
-Check tailings auger speed sensor and wiring
-Check hydraulic filter - hoses and fittings
-Check hydraulic stack valve and accumulator
-Check separator frame
-Inspect concave inserts
-Check top covers - feeding, threshing, and separating

-Check cleaning shoe auger troughs
-Check separator loss monitor, pads, and wiring
-Check separator shaker pan
-Check unloading auger sump, bevel drive gears, and bearings
-Check unloading auger drive chain, sprockets, and guides
-Check unloading auger jackshaft, pulleys, and bearings
-Check unloading auger drive belts, tensioner, guides, and cylinder
-Check switches

-Check shoe and service lights

-Check rotor variable sheaves-grease and cycle through range
-Check rotor speed shift lever
-Check hydrostatic filter - hoses and fittings

-Check discharge beater, bearing, belt, and sheaves
-Discharge beater speed sensor and wiring

-Check cob deflector door
-Check shoe loss monitors and wiring
-Check front chaffer, chaffer, sieve, and seals
-Check shoe frames and seals
-Check rear panel, lights, and SMV sign
-Check spreader - disks, rubber flaps, hydraulic motor, hose, fittings, and frame
-Check advance powercast - fingers, hydraulic motor, hoses, fitting, and shroud movement

 

Safety:
-Check feederhouse safety stop operational
-Check lights - all outside lights, functions dome light, warning lights, and buzzers (self checks at start up)
-Check ladder safety chains in place
-Check road disconnect switch
-Check operator presence switch
-Check all safety shields in place
-Check safety decals in place and readable
-Check back up alarm
-Check fire extinguisher charged and in correct location
-Check seat belts - operator and instructional seat

Right-Hand Side:
-Check safety shields (S550 only)
-Check gull wings and air cylinders
-Check cab wall electrical connectors
-Check primary countershaft bearing
-Check front counter shaft belt, tensioner, and pulleys

-Check active tailings - wear on bars, upper auger flighting, upper auger housing for cracks, and wear, and zero concave adjustment

-Check grain tank loading auger, housing, bearings, driver, top sprockets, and clamps
-Check clean grain elevator top shaft and bearings
-Check clean grain elevator top housing, impact plate, GreenStar mass flow sensor
-Check loading auger gear case
-Check cross augers, top covers, and floor
-Check unload on-the-go baffle
-Check unloading auger sump clean out
-Check vertical auger and housing
